Bette Jeanne Clark, 93, died November 26, 2016, in Yucaipa.

Born Bette Jeanne Davenport in Yuma, Arizona on January 14, 1923, Bette moved with her family to Ontario, California at a young age. She graduated from Chafey Union High School in 1941. It was there that she met her husband of 73 years, Bruce W. Clark, who predeceased her by three months.

Bette lived in Illinois, Maine, and Texas before settling in Alhambra, California, in 1956. For over fifteen years, she served as the secretary of First Presbyterian Church of Alhambra, California,...

Born Bette Jeanne Davenport in Yuma, Arizona on January 14, 1923, Bette moved with her family to Ontario, California at a young age. She graduated from Chafey Union High School in 1941. It was there that she met her husband of 73 years, Bruce W. Clark, who predeceased her by three months.

Bette lived in Illinois, Maine, and Texas before settling in Alhambra, California, in 1956. For over fifteen years, she served as the secretary of First Presbyterian Church of Alhambra, California, where she was a longtime member.

She moved to Yucaipa in 1990 and became an active member of the Yucaipa Presbyterian Church. Bette loved her community and the surrounding mountains. She was an avid rose gardener.

Bette is survived by her daughters Connie Prainito and her husband Bill of Henderson, Nevada, and Jeanne Denzin and her husband Don of Leander, Texas. She passed away with four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, December 6 at 2:30 pm at Wildwood Canyon Villa, 33951 Colorado St., Yucaipa, where Bette and her husband were residents. She will be interred at Riverside National Cemetery.
